Hi Everyone! It’s been quite a long while since I wrote a post, but I’m still here. Retirement just got much busier than I could have imagined. I have traveled some, but haven’t blogged about my travels. After London and Paris last year we went to the Magic Kingdom with my daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter, and I just wanted the time with them without worrying about blogging. Then I took a solo trip to Hilton Head before Christmas, and just took that time to relax.
Etsy Shop!
I’ve also started many new hobbies, and crafting is at the top of the list. I’ve enjoyed learning how to make resin jewelry and love using Resincrete to make numerous items. I just started my new Etsy Shop, and if you are on Etsy, I’d sure appreciate a follow from you and I’ll be sure to follow back. The name of the shop is Crafts by Quiet Cruiser.
And again to London!
After we left London and Paris last year and got home, my first thought was “I want to go back to London!”. Not Paris, although I’m glad I got to go and see the Eiffel Tower and some other touristy spots, I didn’t really like Paris. I think that a lot of that was that the Metro was so crowded and hard to use, and it was so hard to get around when you don’t speak the language.
So, London it will be. We’ll be in London in early May, and we’re taking more time to breathe this time. I swear that the entire trip was a blur last year when we got home. It took us some time just watching vlogs of places we visited to remember the entire trip. There is just so much to do in London, and we did so much in the few short days we were there.
Not sure exactly what all we will be doing, but we will do a Hop on Hop off tour on Big Bus, go to Westminster Abbey, and hopefully to Windsor. We went to see the Changing of the Guard, and also go to Kensington Palace. Of course we have to have an Afternoon Tea one of those days. Other than that, we’re going to do what comes to mind, and see a lot of London that we missed last year.
I’ll be sure to do a few blogs after the trip with details and lots of pictures of what we actually did. We’re flying nonstop on Virgin Atlantic via Atlanta both ways. Make sure that you check back towards the end of April to see what our adventures were! If you’re not on my Facebook page, The Quiet Cruiser, be sure to follow me there too!
